At Houston Fashion Week® we rely on our Volunteers to make the whole week tick! In return, Volunteers get an up close and personal view of

Houston Fashion Week®, Event Management and the Fashion Industry.

Volunteering is not for the enthusiast , this is a very busy event with long hours spent on your feet.

We expect a high standard of delivery from our Volunteers.

Requirements: “a current fashion student, must have previous experience working with high fashion clothing”

You will generally work in shifts of either 8am to 2pm or 1pm to 7pm, but sometimes later.

More information will be given to you once you have registered.

Once you register it will take us up to one month to get back to you, be patient – this is a large logistical exercise for us

but we will get back to every one of you.

Please note: These are Volunteer positions and as such Houston Fashion Week® does not provide flights and accommodation or cover expenses of

There are 3 main areas in which we require Volunteers.

Please see below for a brief outline of those roles within the event.

Dressing Models

This involves being part of a team and styling the models backstage, per the designer’s instructions,

before they walk out on to the catwalk. Often this involves 2 or 3 changes per model in a short time frame.

This is a fun and fast paced role and a must if you love fashion. You must be calm under pressure.

This role could be described as directing traffic – it’s crucial to the flow of the entire show.

You will be required to direct people to their seats in a timely and very polite manner and smooth out any issues if they arise.

You will need a positive and confident nature and a love of Fashion.

Professionalism is key here.

We will have people from all over the nation attending Houston Fashion Week® and often it’s the people at the registration desk

who are the first point of contact.

You will help media, buyers and VIPs with tickets or information packs and any other general inquiries that may arise.

You will need to be computer literate, fast paced, be able to use your initiative, extremely well presented and well organized

and able to cope under pressure. A multi tasker who doesn’t fluster.

Other Volunteers

Sometimes we meet  people who we assign other interesting jobs during the event – this could be you!

Consider this a potential job of a lifetime interview – we will be in touch one month after you have registered at least.
